Control Panel

  1. Power On/Off Button - Toggle button! Push to START and push again to STOP.  When it is on, the LCD Window will display current settings. When it is off, the LCD Window is blank.

  2. Mode Button - Toggle Button! There are three modes to choose from: Fan, Cooler, Dehumidifier. LCD Window will indicate the current mode.

  3. Fan Speed Button - Toggle Button! When it is on Fan or Cooler mode, there are three speeds to choose from: Low, Medium, High. LCD Window will indicate the level of fan speed by the bar chart.

  4. Louver Button - Toggle Button! You can choose On or Off by pushing the button once. The function activates the louver to swing automatically and horizontally.

  5. Temperature Button - This button functions as a thermostat. You can set the desired temperature of the vicinity area. When that temperature is reached, the unit will shut down automatically. When that temperature is above the set temperature, the unit will turn on automatically. This is similar to the Climate Control in some automobiles.

  6. Timer Button - The maximum time to set the unit to turn on or off by itself is 18 hours. When the unit is running, pushing this button will set the time to turn it OFF. When the unit is not running (but plugged in), pushing this button will set the time to turn it ON. Every time you push the "UP" or "DOWN" button, you will increase or decrease the time to turn on or off by one hour increment respectively.

  7. Compressor Indicator - When the unit is in either cooling or dehumidifying mode, this indicator will light up indicating the unit is working accordingly. Check LCD Window to see the Mode button also.

  8. Drain Tank Indicator - When it is time to empty the drain tank, it will light up and a buzzer will sound alerting that emptying is required. At such time, the compressor will switch off and the unit will turn itself into FAN mode. Take out the water tank and empty all the water. Push the tank back in after emptying will switch the compressor back on after about 2-3 minutes. The unit will return back to the previous mode.

  9. LCD Display - This is the "brain"! All information involving the functioning of this unit is indicated clearly on this LCD display. Icons are used to give the user current status of each function. These icons are self-explanatory and you do not need to refer back to the Operation Manual to know the status of each function.

Troubleshooting

Blinking Indicator

It is normal to have blinking indicator when you are switching between features (Cooling, Dehumidifying, and Ventilating). The unit will take a few minutes for it to adjust/switch from one function to another.

The unit does not operate at all

  • Has the wall outlet it plugged into failed? Use another outlet instead!

  • Is the plug dislodged from the outlet? Pull it out and re-insert!

  • Was there a power surge? If yes, you need to re-set the circuit breaker in one of your house electrical sub-panels (professional help may be required).

  • Is the Drain Tank Indicator lit? If yes, emptying is required. See above for detail!

  • Check to see if the water tank is properly and correctly placed. Click here for detail.

  • Is the timer set correctly? See above!

  • If all the the above is checked and the unit is still mal-functioning, please email us for online support.

Water Leak

  • Pull out the water tank to check the water sprout inside if it is right on top of the tank. Sometimes, the sprout is knocked out of position during shipping and by accident.

  • Check the End-of-Season drain pipe inside (after pulling out the water tank) if it is dislodged out of position. If the connection is not tight enough, water would leak out and fill the bottom plate.

  • Check the side by-pass outlet to see if there is any debris blocking the dripping passage. Remove debris if necessary!

  • Make sure the unit is on level surface. Sloping surface will upset the dripping process and overflow may occur.

  • If all the the above is checked and the unit is still mal-functioning, please email us for online support.

Cooling is not functioning efficiently

  • Is any outlet or inlet blocked? See above!

  • Are there too many appliances and computers operating at the same time in the room? Turn off some of them!

  • Are air filters dirty? Clean the filters once every two weeks if possible.

  • Is the timer set correctly? See above!

  • Set the Fan Speed at High!

  • If all the the above is checked and the unit is still mal-functioning, please email us  for online support.

Too much noise and vibration

  • It is normal for the refrigerant inside to make noise and the system to vibrate. As long as it is within limit and temporary, it is okay.

  • Is the unit inclined?  If yes, turn off the unit and put it on a flat surface and wait about 5-10 minutes before turning it back on.

  • If all the the above is checked and the unit is still mal-functioning, please email us for online support.

The unit turns on and off by itself frequently

  • Is the power voltage fluctuating in your house? Check with your utility company.

  • Is the air exhaust duct not installed correctly. Please click here to see the correct installation.

  • Did you add any unauthorized air exhaust duct to the one shipped? If yes, your warranty may be void and you may incur permanent damage to the unit. Please click here to see the correct installation.

  • If all the the above is checked and the unit is still mal-functioning, please email us for online support.
