How to Hang/Install Fixtures

How to Hang/Install Fixtures

Hanging Bars (L18-72/74/75/76/79)

1. Decide where you want to position the light fixtures on the track. For directional lighting, you need to stagger the connections so as to achieve the angles that you want.

2. Attach the Bars onto the track using the Connectors. Using the screws in the Connectors to secure the fixture to the track. 

3. Install the light bulbs and use the two side screws to tighten it.

Frosted Glass Spot on 7"/14"/20" Bars (L18-72IP/IW, L18-74IP/IW, L18-75IP/IW)

1. Decide where you want to position the light fixtures on the track. For directional lighting, you need to decide if you need to stagger the connections so as to achieve the angles that you want.

2. Attach the Bars onto the track using the Connectors. Using the screws in the Connectors to secure the fixture to the track.

3. Unscrew the nuts on the fixture's two arms (fixtures come detached from the Bars)

4. Insert the Straight Bars into the slot/gap left empty by the nuts. The flat ends of the Straight Bars should be under the openings to provide secured support and to prevent the glass mini spots from accidental fall off.

5. Screw the nuts back on to tighten the fixture to the Straight Bars.

6. Install the light bulbs and you are ready to power up

Mini Spot on 7"/14"/20" Bars (L18-72YB, L18-74YB, L18-75YB)

1. Decide where you want to position the light fixtures on the track. For directional lighting, you need to decide if you need to stagger the connections so as to achieve the angles that you want.

2. Unscrew the nuts on the fixture's arms

3. Insert the Straight Bars into the slot/gap left empty by the nuts. The flat ends of the Straight Bars should be under the openings to provide secured support and to prevent the glass mini spots from accidental fall off.

4. Screw the nuts back on to tighten the fixture to the Straight Bars.

5. Install the light bulbs and you are ready to power up

Mini Spot (L18-YB) and Frosted Glass Mini Spot (L18-IP/IW)

1. Decide where you want to position the light fixtures on the track

2. Attach the fixtures onto the track using the two flat-head screws to secure the fixtures to the track. The fixtures come with the screws on. You need to take them out before attaching the fixtures and put the screws back on to secure the fixtures

3. Install the light bulbs and use the two side screws (for YB fixture only) to tighten it.

Clear Spot (L18-AC) and Frosted Glass Spot (L18-GP/GW)

1. Decide where you want to position the light fixtures on the track

2. Attach the fixtures onto the track using the built-in clips (see picture below). For certain angles, you may need to rotate or switch the clip attachments to the track. You may need to use a little effort to force the fixtures onto the track until you hear a "click" sound.

3. Install the light bulbs and you are ready to power up!

                            

Hanging Frosted Glass (L18-EP/EW)

1. Decide where you want to position the light fixtures on the track.

2. Attach the fixtures onto the track using the built-in clips (see picture below). For some angles, you may need to rotate or switch the clip attachments to the track. You may need to use a little effort to force the fixtures onto the track until you hear a "click" sound. If you want to shorten the fixture wires, go to #4.

3. Install the light bulbs and you are ready to power up!

4. You may shorten the hanging wire (3' shipped) by either cutting it to the desire length or collecting the slack inside the little space in between the two built-in clips. Follow the steps below to shorten the wire and install the fixtures:

   Step 1.  Ply open the cover where the built-in clips are by using a screw driver (the cover is a snap-on type).

   

   Step 2. Loosen the hanging wire by removing the screw on the side. 

    

   Step 3.  If cutting is your choice, you need to detach the metal conductors at the end of the wires from the little sockets and re-attach them later after cutting. You may not need to cut the wire if you can collect the slack inside the space, depending on your desire length.

   

   (How:  detach the metal conductors at the end of the wires from the sockets and try to circle the slack inside the space)

   Step 4. Cut the hanging wire to the desire length if collecting the slack (see above) inside is not possible.

   Step 5. At where the screw is, use black electrical tape to wrap around the wire two times (more will make the wire too thick to go through the hole). This is necessary to prevent the screw from penetrating the wire when tightening.

   Step 6. Re-attach the metal conductors and snap the cover back on.

   Step 7. Unscrew the "ring" from the lamp holder (ring comes screwed onto the metal lamp holder). Install the shade and screw the "ring" back on to hold the shade in place. Attach the fixtures onto the track using the built-in clips on the fixtures. You may need to use a little effort to force it onto the track. Do not change the position too often! You may damage the built-in clips unexpectedly.

   Step 8.  Install light bulbs and you are done! Turn the power back on!

* Need to rotate attachment clips or bars in order to achieve the maximum angles. #176 may need bending of flexible bars also.

~ Approximation only! Maximum 180º/360º is impossible to achieve because of track separation
